The History Of Capstone Cellars

Capstone Cellars is a locally owned, family winery featuring bold, complex red wines in addition to white wine offerings. Founded in 2003 by Roy & Sandys Bays and Joel & Kathleen McNally, Capstone Cellars was the first winery in Cowlitz County. In 2015, Debbie Luchau and Kirk Raboin, Roy’s daughter and son-in-law, started the next chapter purchasing the family winery business. As the winemaker, Kirk carries Roy’s passion for wines and continues to perfect some of the same award-winning wines developed by Roy while adding new varietals to the Capstone wine family.

After moving from the first winery on Pacific Way in Longview to our current location in beautiful Rose Valley, Washington. Capstone Cellars expanded, offering a comfortable tasting room, outside patios, and an event space to the residents of Cowlitz County. It is Debbie and Kirk’s goal to provide a family friendly destination that features a memorable wine tasting experience while enjoying a relaxing country setting.

As owners, we look forward to meeting more people and sharing in the discovery, learning, and enjoyment of the fruits of traditional winemaking processes at a local winery while being surrounded by family and friends.
